My Mandala
My Mandala 5/1:
My mandala is in the forest. Trees, grass, and moss completely surround my mandala. Inside my mandala there is tons of sticks and logs on the right side of my mandala. However, on the left side of my mandala there is only grass with one patch of clovers in the left corner of my mandala. In the center of my mandala there is a leaf that is different and sticks out from all of the other leaves in the mandala. The leaf is a very light brown. It resembles a tan or khaki color. The leave feels really crusty and dead like it could be torn apart in a second. It is really rough and brittle. The leaf is really small it is smaller than the size of my hand. The leaf reminds me of an individual human. It is one out of hundreds of millions, it is a living organism, and there are veins running through the entire leaf similar to a human.

Reflection: This is connected to art class for a few different reasons. First it was such a lovely place that it could be considered a piece of art. Also, I had to describe it in such a way that could be turned into a piece of art. Lastly, in my art class we learned about mandalas and what their significance is and what they represent. They are a ritual in some parts of the world and represent the community. During this entry I used the ATL skill self management in the form of reflection my looking back at my picture and describing it.
